Pokemon X/Y: 4 Things That Just Weren't Right

3. Team Flare Team Flare Wallpaper 1440x900 By Baruch97 D6obc5n I was really excited for what Team Flare were going to bring to the game. Even they looked really strange and their leader, Lysandre gave me a flamboyant, Zhang He (from Dynasty Warriors) feel, I was expecting some kind of good psychopath drama going on. But then I have to remember - Nintendo still portrays Pokemon as a kid's game first and foremost. So, I was left confused. See, Team Flare had the potential to succeed. But here was a strange gap in the story where I found it really hard to understand why they were trying to achieve from first encountering them to the Glittering Cave to when that one Flare member disappeared to their hidden HQ. Only when they had trapped Yvetal did I finally understand what their purpose was. Their plan to create a "beautiful world" by erasing everyone and Pokemon except themselves made absolutely no sense. But now according to the Pokemon Wiki, it says that they "may have been inspired by the real world's own problems with overpopulation and the strain on the planet's limited resources." I still don't see the connection. But even so, I guess I was expecting too much after enjoying what the previous generation evil organisations had provided us with. I was expecting Team Flare to pop up most of the time throughout the game after I obtained my first badge. But like I said, Nintendo still thinks the game's main audience is children. Maybe in the near future, we can have an older demographic game where players can join an evil organisation and even their own soon after. Well done though on managing to take over certain locations within the game! They reminded me of Team Rocket in that aspect.
