Pre-Order Sniper Elite V2 and Kill Hitler

505 announce that the pre-order edition of the upcoming Sniper Elite V2 will feature a special Fuhrer-killing bonus mission.

505 Games have announced that people who pre-order their upcoming world war 2 sniper simulator Sniper Elite V2 will get special exclusive mission. In a nutshell, you get to kill Hitler. Brushing aside such dull business as historical accuracy with a quick bullet to the head, it seems that this mission is all about guilty fun as you make your way through the level to ultimately take down one of the most abhorred figures in modern history. This mission will see you intercepting a train carrying the leader of the Reich and hunting him down as he tries to escape on foot. The mission will be available to anyone who pre-orders the game before the 4th of May and pre-orders from all UK retailers will be accepted. Along with the mission it will also contain a few new weapons such as the Soviet SVT-40 and the German Kar-98. This won't be the first time Hitler has met a pixellated end. Bionic Commando tasked you with blowing up the Fuhrer and of course Wolfenstein 3D pitted B.J. Blazkowicz against the minigun wielding mecha-Hitler. Already opinion is split on whether or not this kind of thing is acceptable. While many see it as just a bit of fun, which is surely what 505 had in mind when they came up with the idea, there are some who see it as a sleazy move on the part of the developers, scarring an otherwise realistic and somewhat accurate portrayal of the conflict. Where do you guys stand on this? Is it a fun reward for early adopters or is it's "immaturity" working against the quality of the overall product? Feel free to sound off below.
