PS Vita Price Cut In France

Sony has announced a €50 rebate exclusive to France running for the next six weeks.

If you happen to be in France and are in the market for a brand new Playstation Vita then you my good fellow/lady are in luck. Sony has announced a ‚50 rebate exclusive to France. The price cut will run for six weeks, starting on the 1st June and running until the 15th July. Sony told Eurogamer,
This is a limited retail price promotion that is only available for a short space of time in France.
The Vita hasn't been the roaring success that Sony might have been hoping for. Since launching in the UK it has only managed to sell a third of what the PSP managed to move in the same amount of time. While the worldwide figure is around 1.8 million which was described as a €œgood start€ by Sony's man Kaz Hirai, one could see this temporary price drop potentially leading to price drops across the board. With the gaming world's attention turned towards E3 the world will be waiting to see what Sony has in store for their newest portable. If this price drop manages to move more units we could be seeing permanent price cuts across the board. At this point in time we can only speculate as to what the Sony big wigs are up to.
