PS4: 10 Missing PlayStation Franchises That Must Return

1. Jak And Daxter

Jak & Daxter
Naughty Dog

Whereas many of the other entries on this list have had some sort of new entry in the last generation or so, Jak and Daxter hasn't been seen properly since the days of the PS2. This needs to change.

Out of the three defining platformers on the PS2 (Jak, Ratchet and Sly), Jak and Daxter is easily the most popular. The more adult story, interesting lore and challenging gameplay led to the series being one of the most beloved on the whole console. Although Naughty Dog have certainly paid their respects to Jak and Daxter through easter eggs, it seems highly unlikely that they'll be involved in a new project.

This doesn't necessarily mean the end for Jak and Daxter though. Sly Cooper had a similar situation, but simply had to find developers who were a suitable replacement. A reboot of Jak and Daxter is certainly not what fans want, so a continuation of the story from Jak 3 (let's ignore Jak X) would make for the perfect return. Fans want it, and there are certainly developers who would be interested in making it happen.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
