PS4: 15 Hardest Platinum Trophies Nobody Unlocked
6. Sim Racer - Assetto Corsa
A driving game not for the faint of heart, Assetto Corsa’s brand of racing sim goodness filled a gap that the big franchises weren’t catering to… if you were playing on PC, anyway. Unfortunately, the game just wasn’t as responsive or as intuitive as it should have been on console, and it required some tinkering if you wanted to get anything more than a bronze medal.
Even without that setback, getting the platinum is an exercise in mastery of both behind-the-wheel responsiveness and under-the-hood knowhow. The 'hot laps' are particularly difficult to get the hang of, however it's during the special events where most sane trophy hunters people give up entirely. They’re pretty much just even more frustrating versions of the regular events, with time attacks in particular being notorious for causing those seconds-away failures.
Sadly, the main problem with getting every trophy comes from the most difficult events you need to ace being virtually impossible with a regular gamepad, and requiring a wheel to not set you at an immediate disadvantage.
