PS4: 9 Major Problems Sony Face In 2016
2. Custom Wallpapers
The fact that this is such a simple request is precisely why it infuriates that it hasn't happened yet. Custom wallpapers were available on the PS3, 360 and now the Xbox One, but the PS4 still insists you choose from a number of themes, either paid-for or free.
Occasionally these will line up with a truly fantastic title (the PS Plus DOOM one is brilliant, for example) but the fact of the matter remains: the only reason you can't just set a custom background, is to encourage you to pay for them instead.
Picking our own themes and icon sets was something that gave both the PSP and PS3 endless customisability, especially when people figured out how to make them, and various now-defunct websites became archive-tributes to anything you could imagine.
You've had your fun and we've put up with it this long, Sony. How about you make this happen?
