PS4 Vs Xbox One: 10 2014 Releases To Win The War

2. Halo 5

Halo 5 is not street dated yet but let€™s not kid ourselves, it€™s coming and will probably be Microsoft€™s game of the 2014 Holiday season. It€™s a no brainer that Microsoft will collectively pump up the Xbox One user-base by showing off more of the next entry in the new trilogy at E3. Admittedly, the quality of Halo has trailed off €“ with or without Bungie - but that hasn€™t stopped the games from selling like hotcakes. Halo is a worldwide phenomenon that didn€™t reach critical acclaim solely because of its multiplayer, but also its vastly rich lore and story. Its level design offered something far more strategic and tactical than the corridor style present in most other FPS at the time too, hence the original game€™s sub-header Combat Evolved. In short, it€™s going to take something monumentally bad - even worse than that phoned in expansion pack Halo: ODST - before gamers ditch the franchise. Halo is arguably as iconic as Mario at this point, with Master Chief being the absolute definition of a system-selling character.
