PS5: 10 Iconic PlayStation Franchises Sony Needs To Revive

6. Infamous (and Sly Cooper)

Infamous Second Son
Sony CE

One of two recent entries on this list, but nonetheless still in need of a revival, Infamous has more potential left if someone's willing to dig it up.

Sucker Punch may be working hard on Ghost of Tsushima right now, but why not return to their super-powered series once it's done?

Second Son was released early in the PS4's life, so whilst not a launch title, it was a great early showcase for the machine. Why not replicate that with a new, more powerful generation of console from Sony? Besides what Tsushima will be doing, anyway.

It doesn't have to be about Delsin, either. Like the ill-fated Heroes TV show, it could focus on someone else in the world becoming a reluctant anti-hero. There's a wealth of untapped powers, for example, as our new protagonist unlocks many along the way.

Insomniac have Spider-Man to focus on, so why not let Insomniac carry on with their take on superheroes?

Or, failing that, why not a return to the series that made them in Sly Cooper. Different kettle of fish but equally fun, how about a return for the other infamous mascot of Sucker Punch's ranks?
