PS5: 13 CONFIRMED Details Sony Has Just Revealed
11. The U.I. Will Make Gaming With Friends More Immediate
In the interview with Wired, Mark Cerny didn't really discuss the specifics of the PS5's U.I. and homepage (after all, those are elements better visualised than written down), but he did have some interesting tidbits to reveal about how the next PlayStation interface will make it easier for the player to jump into games.
He explained:
"Multiplayer game servers will provide the console with the set of joinable activities in real time. Single-player games will provide information like what missions you could do and what rewards you might receive for completing them—and all of those choices will be visible in the UI. As a player you just jump right into whatever you like."
Essentially, the PS5 dashboard will make it clear what the state of the game you're joining is beforehand - whether the server is full, whether your friends are on the winning or losing side, which level you're on in a single-player game etc. - to iron out any potential annoyances when booting a game up.
