Rainbow Six: Siege - 8 Major Annoyances Every Player Knows

7. Not Muting Walls

Rainbow Six Siege
Ubisoft

One of the best uses of Mute's disruptors is their ability to scramble communications between detonators for breach charges, preventing Hibana, Thermite and Fuze from using their abilities.

This is especially useful in large rooms with too many walls to reinforce, or when a team mate wants to crouch against a wall without worrying about that same wall exploding to unveil enemy fire.

Too many objectives are vulnerable to Thermite and Hibana, most notably the garages in the house, chalet and consulate maps. Without Mute or Bandit, the team is very much at risk in these locations, and Bandit is rarely selected in a team that already has Mute,

Very few players use this feature, seeing Mute only as a defender in charge of hiding the objective. Using Mute to his full abilities not only prevents the walls from being breached, but also keeps players safe from Fuze's cluster charges, which can kill half of the team in an instant.
