Ranking All Of Metal Gear Solid's Boss Battles From Worst To Best

1. Liquid Ocelot (MGS 4)

It might not be as immediately ingenious as the Mantis or The End fights, but any MGS fan was no doubt left in awe at the climactic final fistfight between Old Snake and Liquid Ocelot. From the second the two inject each other with adrenaline and the life bars start filling up, this is pure fanboy wish fulfillment, and it didn't disappoint. The fight has four phases, with the first three each featuring a song from one of the games, as if the nostalgic quality wasn't already through the roof. The final phase is a QTE punch-fest as the two tired foes stagger to end one another, and then, finally, you've completed Old Snake's journey. Then you get to sit back and enjoy the 70-minute long ending, so maybe head to the toilet before you start this fight. Also, the graphics for this showdown are insanely good for a PS3 game, and have aged incredibly well. For a game that's over 7 years old, it's crazy how well it's stood the test of time. What are your favourite MGS bosses? And which ones had you shedding tears of frustration? Shout them out in the comments!
