Ranking Every Call Of Duty Campaign From Worst To Best

As far as most people are concerned, Ghosts was the lowest Call of Duty has ever sunk. But while the title's middling multiplayer suite took the most flack upon its first release, its single-player is nowhere near the worst of the CoD campaigns.

Introducing impressive zero gravity and underwater sections that would be later fully realised in the studio's next game, Infinite Warfare, Ghosts attempted to shake up the core CoD design as much as it could before the franchise was truly launched into full-on jet pack-jumping sci-fi territory.

Immersing players into a dystopian future setting, the way the title draws upon pulpy genre elements of brainwashed super-soldiers and top-secret branches of the military could seem a bit trite (and a bit familiar to fans of the franchise), but the narrative itself does just enough new to make these clichéd elements work.

And although plenty of people despised it when it released, it's a shame that Infinity Ward will never be able to follow up on Ghost's promising cliff-hanger ending.
