14. The Executioner's Chariot

This is probably the most successful example of a gimmick boss that Dark Souls 2 achieved. The boss room is a massive circular arena that the Chariot circles endlessly meaning you have to seek vestige in the small little alcoves to not die. You also have to juggle skeletons and necromancers before fighting the Chariot itself. It's a unique little challenge that can be quite fun and thrilling. The Chariot itself is a basic fight, but the whole fight is just fresh and entertaining. Even if you do have to fight against the Chariot's terrible hit boxes killing you while you are supposedly safe!
