5. GoldenEye 007 (2010)

Released in 2010 for the Wii - and an enhanced port made its way to PS3 and Xbox 360 the next year - this glossy "re-imagining" of Rare's original GoldenEye 007 swaps out Pierce Brosnan for Daniel Craig, and mostly works.

As much as it might seem like re-writing history in an extremely cynical, brand-extending way, so much of the old GoldenEye charm carries over into this highly entertaining update that it's tough to feel bad about it.

The single-player campaign is a gonzo blast - once you get used to the Wii's eccentric control scheme, that is - and the multiplayer is a boatload of fun, if not quite as Earth-shattering as it was back in 1997.
