As the list goes on, you’ll find a lot of the Andromeda crew bunched near the bottom. Although the game wasn’t as bad as the swirl of negative glitchy coverage suggests, it doesn’t hold a candle to the original trilogy. Liam is by far the biggest example of that, and so takes his place as the second worst crewmate they’ve ever had.

It makes sense to reiterate that none of them are terrible, but it’s not like there are 25 diamonds to choose from either.

Liam’s biggest weakness is motivation. A former law enforcement officer who became a member of HUSTL, he just wants to make a difference. But with so many winding narratives and grey areas across the four games, you’ll struggle to find someone in your crew for reasons so dull.

The story of him bending, even breaking, the rules to foster better relationships with the Angara had potential, but like a lot of Andromeda this potential is never realised and it all fizzles out. Perhaps he’s better if you romance him, but no one really was prepared to take that bullet so it seems we’ll never know.
