Ranking Every Pokémon Mobile Game Worst To Best

6. Camp Pokemon

Pokemon Games
Nintendo

Camp Pokemon was designed so that adults could give their tablet to their kids and distract them for a few hours. For kids, it's probably some light fun, but if you started playing Pokemon in 1998 with Red and Blue, you might be a bit old for it.

The game consists of some mini-games that are intended to teach children the basics of how Pokemon games work. One involves searching a picture for Pokemon hidden in it, another is a reaction game about throwing Pokeballs at Pokemon, another teaches which elements are strong against other elements.

Camp Pokemon isn't designed to be a fun experience for fans of the series; the game is intended to train young kids to be future customers that'll buy the games, the cuddly plushies, the clothes etc. It's some harmless fun, but there's an insidious feeling throughout that it's only purpose is to indoctrinate kids to the cult of Pokemon at a young age.

I'm based in the UK, looking to make a career out of writing about entertainment and culture. The only thing I like as much as watching films, playing games or listening to music is enjoying as much hummus and crisps as I can while I do so. My favourite film is Eddie the Eagle and I like any game that lets me wander around beautiful worlds (or eat hummus and crisps).
