15. Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite

Easily one of the most disappointing games of the year - if not the generation so far - MvC: Infinite somehow manages to take two of the most colourful casts of characters in entertainment history, bring them to the new generation of hardware, and create a product almost devoid of life.

Yes, there's a 'worlds collide' story mode that sees Mega Man tackling Iron Man or Ryu going up against the Hulk, but with some of the most spectacularly naff writing in quite some time, none of these interactions are remotely fun or memorable. Combat-wise, Infinite adds the 'Infinity Stone' mechanic where the various different relics can imbue fighters with faster meter burns or offensive and defensive properties, but the real kick in the Black Widows comes from the gutless roster.

No bigger than five new characters on-disc is all we get when compared to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 (with another five as DLC and more on the way), and it's mainly down to Fox and Marvel continually refusing to make amends, meaning that franchise stalwarts like Wolverine and Cyclops/the X-Men in general have been left out.

A major missed opportunity that gets by because its core is still MvC, this should have been a MUCH bigger deal in every respect.
