13. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
A re-release of practically the only decent post-FFX Final Fantasy there's ever been, Final Fantasy XII's remaster introduces a number of quality of life improvements to gameplay (such as speeding up battles x4) that really makes the whole experience pop.
FF XII also pioneered a different take on the standard turn-based combat of before, introducing a full range of movement at all times, alongside programming your allies to respond to a series of "If X, then Y" A.I. commands.
This means you'll quickly get addicted to clearing out dungeons and areas faster and faster, all the while watching your unit go to work as meters max out and various weapons, items and XP come rolling in.
Couple all of this with an almost Game of Thronesian tale of opposing rulers, land ownership and faction battles, and you have quite possible the most overlooked Final Fantasy of them all.
