Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Review - 7 Ups & 1 Down
2. Challenge Mode (New Game Plus)
Few games are as straight-up playable as Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart anyway, but once you hit credits, chances are you'll want to dive back in.
Here Insomniac have created "Challenge Mode", their take on New Game Plus, that not only carries over all your weapons from before, but adds a heap of new ones too.
The majority are upscaled "Omega" variants of the game's top-tier armaments anyway, but you also get access to some "blasts from the past", shall we say.
Challenge Mode is where you'll really get to unlock the best abilities from endgame weapons too - to which I'll say, you'll REALLY want to put points into the RYNO's "Summon other objects" ability, and go from there...
Insomniac know they've made something that's a joy to play through, and with a bolstered weapon set from one save, it is a blast using that collection to mop up any remaining collectibles or trophies second time round.
