Red Dead Online: 10 Missing Features Rockstar Must Add
4. Focus On Hunting
Hunting is one of the finest methods of passing time by when playing RDR2. No matter if you're only doing it to gain money and/or XP, or if you're just that cruel that you enjoy inflicting pain on the wildlife, there's no better feeling than having your horse decorated with animal carcasses after a job well done.
However, that doesn't exactly mean it's the greatest thing about the online mode, although it's certainly up for contention.
The fact that you don't get any sort of in-game bonuses for finding animals that may be harder to hunt, such as iguanas or crabs, is ludicrous. No-one will want to waste time going all over the map to find these rarer animals if they'll just receive the same sort of rewards as they would for shooting the feathers off of a turkey.
Due to RDR2 being set in the wild west, you would imagine hunting would have more attention towards it. While it does in a way (the daily challenges section usually features at least one hunting-related challenge), it doesn't seem like that is the case quite yet. Maybe one day.
