Red Dead Online: 7 MAJOR Issues Rockstar Must Address
6. Other Players Can Ruin Your Fun Easily
Towards the latter stages of GTA Online, most of the game's content revolved around active missions taking place in the open world. This was fine, for a little while, until it became apparent that the missions could only be completed in a lobby full of other players who could net their own little reward for pretty much ruining your own fun.
The same mechanic returns for Red Dead Online, and it's about as frustrating as you can imagine. Instead of having any sympathy for their fellow players, dishonourable outlaws will make it their number-one priority to make sure you don't complete a given stranger encounter, whether that be delivering cargo, picking up mail, or just something else entirely.
It's frustrating, if not entirely predictable, but it is an issue. Having a posse full of people is an effective deterrent, but not everyone who hops into Online will want to link up with other players, and certainly not when they're just getting to grips with the mode's mechanics.
