Red Dead Rebellion: 10 Essential Features It Must Have

2. Swimming

Imagine your swagger-loaded con man sweeping a game of poker on a riverboat, earning himself a few angry enemies in the process and being forced to make a quick escape by diving overboard (presumably as it somehow gets set on fire in the madness just because that's what happens). Or perhaps you've been chased by the law to the edge of a cliff overlooking a river with nowhere to go except for a hopeful leap into the river below. Now imagine you make that few feet dive from the riverboat or successfully don't land on the rocks after taking your plunge from the cliff, your escape certain... only to drown. We let it slide that John Marston couldn't swim because he says he doesn't know how and, considering all the other things he can pull off in the game, he earned the free pass. But for the next game, especially if it adopts the multiple protagonist approach, at least one person has to know how to survive in a few feet of water.
