Red Dead Rebellion: 10 Essential Features It Must Have

6. Smoother Combat Mechanics

As it stands, Redemption's combat mechanics were pretty solid. Gunfighting online and off was fun and the Dead Eye ability was addictive and satisfying when pulled off to take out an entire group of enemies in a matter of seconds. However, as with many things, it can be improved upon. Some have complained about weapon aiming being too sensitive while others feel it's just right; ensuring that players can and know that they can customize such things to their liking would work wonders in keeping everybody comfortable. Tweaking melee combat to feel less clunky - an issue Rockstar has often dealt with in many of their games - is also a must. A free-for-all bar brawl would be astounding if everyone wasn't forced to shuffle around like they're in a boxing ring. Even giving players a choice of melee fighting style would open up a world of opportunity for players to be exposed to different situations and outcomes and add another dimension of character customization to help players and their experiences stand out from one another. If Rockstar can continue to fine-tune the combat formula that was already pretty solid in Redemption, Red Dead 3 will only benefit from such evolution and players would undoubtedly appreciate the freedom they have to customize and specialize it even further to their own comfort level.
