Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Most Believable Plot Theories You Need To Know
3. Jack Marston's Story Continues From Red Dead Redemption
If Rockstar wishes to treat the '2' in Red Dead Redemption 2 as a representation of where this story takes place chronologically, then it seems like continuing Jack Marston's storyline would be a natural next step in the overarching narrative. Considering where Jack's story concluded in Redemption, he's got plenty of paths to go down for future storylines.
Perhaps Jack is still dealing with the events in Redemption, leading to outbursts and a strong mean streak, should anyone bring up the tragic events that occurred. With all of the trauma and issues that plagued Jack's childhood, he'd certainly be different from John, personality-wise. This would allow him to not feel like a rehash of John and instead a wholly new character that stands apart from dear old John.
However, it all depends on whether or not both gamers and Rockstar feel that Jack can carry a game by himself. He was only controllable after the game's conclusion, so he still remains somewhat untested. Depending on how you felt about him, this could be a great idea, or one that's a bit too divisive to try.
However, if that group picture is anything to go by, and since Jack doesn't really fit the outline of any of the gang members, fans aren't likely to continue Jack's adventures in RDR2.
