Red Dead Redemption 2: 11 Most Shocking Story Moments
10. Bronte Abducts Jack
The conclusion of Red Dead's third chapter makes for one of the most compelling and cinematic moments in the game, but that doesn't mean it wasn't shocking.
With their deception of the Gray's and Braithwaites now exposed, and the former now dealt with permanently, the latter retaliates against Dutch's gang by abducting Jack Marston, who's only four-years-old at this stage in the game.
Immediately, the camp snaps into action. Every available gun accompanies Dutch as they travel to Braithwaite manor - from Hosea to Lenny, Charles and John - and it exemplifies the gang's familial qualities. They're still together, and it's probably the last point in the story where you can tell that the gang aren't just another band of outlaws - they're fighting to build a better world.
Eventually, Arthur and co. get into formation and approach the manor. A huge firefight ensues, and it ends with Dutch dragging Catherine Braithwaite by the hair from her house, before it burns to the ground.
