12. Rockstar's RAGE Engine Continues To Look Phenomenal
Introduced in GTA 4, the RAGE engine (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) is responsible for all the ragdoll-flinging, physics-abusing exploits we've collectively gotten up to in Rockstar's games since 2008.
Like Bethesda, Rockstar are choosing to build on their established tech, here displaying some of the best lighting and texture effects in gaming. We know from GTA V's PS4/Xbox One upgrade that Rockstar can deliver on visuals where it counts, and Red Dead Redemption 2 is starting very strong indeed.
