Red Dead Redemption 2 Wishlist: 9 Features We Want To See

5. Single And Multiplayer Heists

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online
Rockstar

One of the defining aspects of GTA V was its inclusion of multi-stage heists. In both the main campaign as well as GTA Online these grand set-pieces took centre focus, and Red Dead 2 would be smart to give this feature a distinctly Western spin when it drops next year.

There's no doubt that building on the foundation of the already impressive heist system could lead to some incredibly deep and explosive set-piece moments that feel naturally orchestrated by the player, but what's especially great is that this style of gameplay fits snugly into Red Dead's Western genre.

Westerns have always been about following the crimes of thieves, killers and outlaws, so missions in RDR 2 that could have you pulling off heists on moving trains would be par for the course.

Of course, while a set-piece like that is nothing new for the genre, being able to plan and execute these heists yourself would be. Given the option to silently sneak on board and make a swift getaway without being seen would feel incredible, while opting to destroy the tracks over a clearing and send the cargo into a riverbed below would be just as satisfying.

The best moments in video games are the ones that you have direct control over, and Rockstar should keep that in mind while working on this sequel.
