Resident Evil 2: 11 Insanely Cool Secrets & Easter Eggs You Need To See

Like joke character Tofu, certain quirks found in the original Resident Evil 2 were never guaranteed to appear in the remake. Capcom had been crystal clear from the get-go, that certain elements could invariably end up on the cutting room floor, not least those serving little to no purpose.

Wesker's secret photograph of Rebecca was one such Easter Egg ripe for the chop, and you'd be forgiven for believing it had been, as the means of finding it this time around are markedly different than before.

Yes, the infamous photograph - itself a remake, no less - returns, but you'll have to jump through hoops to get it. First, you'll have to acquire a film that reveals a secret compartment (trying to open it before developing the film won't work) in Wesker's desk. Head back to the S.T.A.R.S. office and open the draw to find a crate containing a weapon upgrade and...nothing else?

No prompt will appear, but press A/X on the draw again to retrieve the 'Rising Star' film and final proof that Wesker didn't hate all of his underlings. It was mainly just Chris.
