Resident Evil 3: 16 Best Secrets You Need To Know
1. Difficulty Modes
While not strictly a secret, the extra difficulty modes are something that a lot of players tend to overlook. They've played the game for the story and now all that's left is to play it again but with enemies that hit harder and can take more damage, right?
Wrong.
Assisted not only makes enemies easier to defeat but gives Jill an assault rifle from the beginning and adds ammo pickups for that to the game. She also starts with four extra slots to make it easier to stock up on items.
Nightmare changes where certain key items and weapons are found (the Magnum is in the train station at the first stock up point) and moves most of those out of bounds enemies into the world as small hordes that blocks alleys and streets. Nemesis' upgraded zed show up earlier and in greater numbers and the Pale Heads, Lickers, and Hunter Gammas all show up in places they didn't before too.
Finally, there's Inferno which is Nightmare but with the added changes of no autosave, fewer item boxes, and fewer typewriters dotted around Raccoon City.
Each of these difficulty levels completely changes how the game plays and are well worth playing.
