Resident Evil is no stranger to a spooky village or even a gothic castle. In fact, the last time the series featured both of these prominently, RE4, Resident Evil was changed forever and revolutionised a genre.

Capcom seems to be blurring the line between the science fiction roots of the past and well, just straight up dark fantasy. But the real question is, what is the village and castle hiding? There is a strong case for this being the setting for another secret Umbrella facility.

Because this is Resident Evil.

The Umbrella logo has been shown more times in the past few trailers than in the past few games combined. Here it even seems to be tied to the mansion structure of the region, which we know Heisenberg and Dimitrescu are tied to.

Then there is Mother Miranda, the true spectre looming over this game. Is she alive or dead, and was she the former head of this Umbrella outpost, or even the houses?

More than likely, she will need something - like a host, maybe? To take a wild guess, it will probably be Ethan's child.
