Resident Evil On Netflix: 8 Things We Want To See

S.T.A.R.S., the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, is the special-ops group that jumpstarted the entire RE mythology. They're the first thing we see in the original Resident Evil, as the duplicitous double-agent Albert Wesker leads them into the house of horrors known as the Spencer Mansion.

Thanks to a leak on the Netflix Media Center, we know that the series takes place in the fictional Clearwater, Maryland and that the Umbrella Corporation is still a major threat. This is a far cry from the Raccoon City Police Department, where S.T.A.R.S. operated until the city's destruction in Resident Evil 3.

In later games, Chris and Jill helped to create the BSAA, a counter-bioterrorism group that ultimately eliminated the last of Umbrella. As it appears Umbrella is still around in the show, it's likely that the show isn't adhering to any sort of strict game canon. So whatever counter-acting force is going to go head-to-head with Umbrella, we really hope that Chris, Jill and Barry are leading the charge.
