2. Fix Or Throw Out Skills
Skill Trees in RPGs give you something to look forward to, after your fight ends. In SR3 it quickly became broken, I was nearly unstoppable aside from the annoying Super Grunts. Also, dual wielding was a skill that you could NOT get rid of. So enjoy dual wielding if you accidentally leveled that skill up. Why is that a skill anyway? I mean in SR2 the Boss could dual wield automatically, it wasn't like you became concussed and lost all ability to use guns. Not to nitpick at something tiny like that, but that's the issue with skills. If its something previously established in the series, and you need to take it away to make a skill out if it, you may not have system that works. I like the idea of skills, but if its going to be done they have to put more work into making a system that doesn't turn you into a god by the end, or takes away random things that you could previously do. Maybe take a page from Godfather and have your gang be more important and level them up as you go. Its great way to use all that money you give players, and it adds in the feeling like youre really building a strong gang.
