Sea Of Thieves Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

1. The Awesome Musical Score

Robin Beanland's musical score for this game is fantastic, and a big reason why its tone feels as charming as it does. Right from the moment you load the game up, you're inundated with a wonderfully lofty mix of imposing orchestral tunes and more stripped-back, plainly instrumental ditties.

Hell, there's even a hurdy-gurdy cover of Vagner's iconic "Ride of the Valkyries", which is especially amusing considering that the game released the same day that WWE's Daniel Bryan was finally cleared to wrestle (his theme music being a metal cover of Wagner's classic).

The music perfectly complements the visuals, and is honestly all the encouragement you'll need to break into a drunken sea shanty of your own while venturing on the open seas with some buddies.
