Sekiro: 7 Weirdest Enemies (And What They Represent)
3. Woo Guy
Woo Guy is not Woo Guy's real name, but he is Sekiro's first major viral sensation. Descending from a kite to attack you at the top of Ashina Castle, Woo Guy has scared the bejesus out of us before slamming Sekiro into an early grave and moving on his merry way.
The Woo Guy is not a part of much Japanese folklore (at least, as far as I can tell), but he is the culmination of From Software's d*ckhead style of gameplay. Where the Mimics of Dark Souls were a play on those who carelessly and blindly plundered whatever treasure they stumbled across, the Woo Guy is once again the epitome of not keeping your guard up in a game that very much tells you to be careful. And that boils down to its most pertinent point, when faced with such a noise that all but signposts something is coming your way from realms unknown.
In short, Woo Guy is FromSoftware's reminder that even though we're in a world of serious enemies and impossible beasts, they're still going to take the time to d*ck on us in the most ridiculous ways possible.
Thank you, but also, f*ck you.
