Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: 10 Optional Bosses You Need To Fight
1. Guardian Ape (Second Time)
The Guardian Ape is a boss you can never keep down. You're forced to first fight him when you make your way through the Sunken Valley in search of a major quest item, which this beast just so happens to be guarding. His fast, flailing attacks make him more like a boss ripped out of Bloodborne than Sekiro, and it will take a while to get used to his unpredictable attack patterns.
Once you hit him with the Shinobi execution though, you're not done. Despite decapitating the ape, he'll pick his head up, grab a sword and go to town on you again. Once you defeat this second stage, you grab the item you need and bid farewell.
But that's not the last time the Guardian Ape shows up. From here, if you make your way past the Poison Pool and into the Hidden Forest, you'll find the Headless version alive and waiting for you. By now you should know his attacks inside out, and his first stage will be defeated relatively easily.
Unfortunately for you, though, he's got a trick up his sleeve. His second stage sees him calling him another Guardian Ape to help him, who's a copy of the very first one you fought. There's no easy away around it; fighting both stages at the same time is a damn nightmare, so prepare yourself for punishment.
