Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: 10 Optional Bosses You Need To Fight

4. Tokujiro The Glutton

This absolute unit of a boss can be found just before the Mibu Village in the Hidden Forest, nestled around an easy-to-miss clearing at the far left of the area just before the Mist Noble's hut. Jumping straight into the fight is not advised, as surrounding Tokujiro the Glutton is a gang of monkeys ready to make your life hell. To take these guys out without losing the element of surprise, keep your distance and hit each one with a couple of shurikens, until only the boss is remaining.

Then, grapple hook your way to the roof of the broken shack just behind The Glutton, and hop down for a deathblow backstab to start the fight correctly. The boss' attacks are quite difficult to parry, and you might find yourself getting locked into combos that will absolutely annihilate your posture bar. Consequently you want to keep agile, and try to only block when you know you can counter.

The thing that makes this fight such a chore is Tokujiro's reliance on poison attacks. He can imbue his sword with the status effect, as well as shrouding the area in it after taking a big swig from his pouch. Landing your own posture hits can be difficult as well, as his size makes it regenerate rather quickly, Kicking after dodging a sweep is your safest bet then, as well as landing some pretty major damage with prosthetics as soon as you see an opening.
