Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: 10 Optional Bosses You Need To Fight

5. Shichimen Warrior

Seeing the Shichimen Warrior, whose magic lights up an otherwise pitch-black area in the Abandoned Dungeon, will either inspire a feeling of "I need to fight this guy now" confidence in the player or "holy s*** I'm just going to walk past and pretend he didn't see me" terror.

Like the Headless, you're going to need a stash of Divine Confetti in order to take on the undead mage, as well as the Purifying Agent to offset the status effects of its attacks. In fact, it's probably worth waiting until you have the special gourd (found in the Mibu Village) that gives you five doses of the Purifying Agent with each life, just to make sure you're not wasting these resources.

From there, it's mostly a case of keeping the pressure on the boss at all time. You always want to be on the attack, sprinting and dodging the ranged magic while closing him down. Then, once you're close enough, wail on him with as much firepower as possible until he disappears, and then repeat the process over again.

The Shichimen Warrior isn't quite as intimidating as he first appears, but you need to be be prepared before jumping down to face him.
