Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - 14 Helpful Gameplay Secrets You Didn't Know

13. Ring The Demon Bell For Increased Difficulty And Better Drops

Sekiro Bell
FromSoftware

What? Too easy?

Even though Sekiro is quite easily FromSoftware's hardest title in terms of how much mastery of your own reflexes it requires to even get through the first few bosses, there is a way to make it even more brutal.

Basically you want to head past the Chained Ogre and to the right of the area with the next General. Down the path you'll find a cave housing a horrifically tough enemy called the Headless, but watch for an opening along the cave wall while in the same combat area, and beyond you'll come across Senpou Temple.

Up on Mt. Kongo you can ring the Demon Bell, seeing you unleash, well, the Bell Demon, but the game treats this as a usable item. Having the Bell Demon active increases enemy aggression and makes Shadows Die Twice considerably harder, but also results in better dropped items across the board.

Using the Bell Demon item will remove the curse, but you can always ring the bell again if you want to spice up your next XP grinding session.
