Shadow Of The Colossus: Every Colossus Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Gaius (Colossus #3)
Just reaching the third colossus is a little more interesting than the previous two fights, as you need to swim across a shallow lake and leap across several death-defying ruins before reaching the platform where Gaius is taking a nap.
Gaius is the first boss who might stump players for more than a few minutes, with the trick being to lure the creature into smashing its giant club into the concrete portion of the floor, breaking it.
The player can then easily run up what remains of the baton and leap to Gaius' fur to take him out. He's far more frisky than either prior colossus, though, and will hurl you loose if you don't use the resting platforms to recover your stamina.
Far more than just another "tall guy" colossus, Gaius forces the player to think more than a few times, and make smart choices rather than just rush to the top of the creature's head.
