Skyrim: Dragonborn DLC Trailer Scheduled For Nov 5th
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is set to be officially announced next Monday, according to a Tweet by Bethesda, the development team behind the popular RPG epic. Along with the Tweet, which states "Full Trailer on 11/5", was also the above screenshot depicting a character in spiked armor, the first official image for the latest DLC in the franchise. It has long been speculated that the latest DLC, the successor to Dawnguard and Hearthfire, is entitled "Dragonborn", and whilst this has yet to be confirmed by Bethesda, the developer trademarked the title back in May, as they did with Hearthfire around the same time. So far, Skyrim fans have been treated to ample DLC content, firstly with Dawnguard, which introduced a vampire lord-based storyline and new weaponry, followed by Hearthfire, which granted gamer's the ability to build houses out of raw materials and adopt children. The previous two DLC contents were dogged however by a succession of delays and bugs which have thus far left them unreleased on the PlayStation 3 Console, much to users' chagrin. It has been suggested that the latest DLC would be initially released as a PS3 exclusive, a token of Bethesda's understanding and acknowledgement of the troubles caused to Sony console users, though this seems considerably unlikely considering Microsoft paid for a 30-day period of exclusivity for the DLC packs back in June. We also wrote that PS3 users could be set to receive all three Skyrim DLC's in one special bundle all at once - In the latest system update for PC owners, entitled 1.8, lies a line of code (below) that reads: $DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT_PS3 DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT, which insinuates that PS3 DLC is imminent. Thanks to similar lines of code discovered on the PC, we are able to speculate upon several new features that could arrive in this latest DLC, such as new armors called "Bonemold", "Chitin" and "Nordic". Further code has also been uncovered which seems to suggest the latest DLC will allow us to mount dragons. The lines of code discovered were: Update.bsa\meshes\animationsetdatasinglefile.txt DragonMountedDualMagic.txt DragonMountedDualStaff.txt DragonMountedMLhSolo.txt DragonMountedMLhStaff.txt DragonMountedMRhSolo.txt DragonMountedMRhSolo_ShieldOrTorch.txt DragonMountedMRhStaff.txt It is also suspected that the latest Skyrim DLC will include locations such as Solstheim, Telvanni, Castle Karstaag, Raven Rock and Miraak Temple.
