Smash Bros. Switch: 10 New Characters Nintendo Must Add

4. Bomberman

Super Smash Bros
Konami

It's only a matter of time until this one becomes a reality. Remember, it's Konami that owns the rights to gaming's bobble-headed explosives expert, the very same publisher that gave Nintendo the go-ahead to include Solid Snake in Brawl, so there's more than enough precedent for the pick.

It's worth noting, too, that Bomberman R was a launch title for the Switch and, for a time, was exclusive to the console. So, if he makes the cut, what sort of combat capabilities can we expect besides obnoxiously large explosions? One word: Louies.

Assuming Nintendo would venture far enough back in time to the character's earliest days - and it should, because Bomberman '94 was the best bar none - the kangaroo-like, multi-coloured companions could make Bomberman a truly unique addition. A combinable tag-team similar to the Ice Climbers in function, if you will.

Just please, no references to Act Zero. Ta very much.
