Sony Restricting PSN Downloads To 2 Devices

Any PSN games purchased after 18th November will only be available to download on two separate systems, rather than the current five.

Sony have made an announcement that any PSN games purchased after 18th November will only be available to download on two separate systems, rather than the current five. This move is presumably to tackle those involved in game-sharing; a process by which people exchange their PSN details with others in order to essentially obtain free games. Accompanying this change will be a new account management system in which users will be able to change which two systems they want to have activated for their PSN downloads. This should hopefully mean that if you have several PS3 breakdowns, you can simply update which system you want your games to be active on, without worrying about reaching any kind of download limit. Though this is as yet unclear. Game-sharers out there will probably be scrambling to make the most of their remaining fortnight of copyright-breaching freedom. Enjoy your cheap-skating while you still can. The crackdown is coming!
