South Park: The Stick Of Truth - 12 Reasons It's Awesome

12. Truly Putting You Into The Show

Quite possibly the most brilliant aspect of Stick of Truth comes from its pre-production phase decision to develop the game as an open world RPG. That notion is taken one step further with the game's central character being you; AKA The New Kid, or as Cartman puts it; Douchebag. The whopping amount of character customisation items - ranging from different hairstyles, facial hair, coloured dyes, sunglasses, various other accessories and a wide array of clothes - also help bring out an imaginative creation that represents what you would ideally look like in this wonderfully twisted world that Trey Parker and Matt Stone have blessed us with. The end result is an interactive experience that truly succeeds at making the player feel like they are a character in the show, and participating in a 15 hour-long episode.
