6. The Buddy System

In addition to taking control of The New Kid in South Park, players are also allowed to tackle the madness with one buddy of their choosing at a time, and are allowed to swap between characters instantaneously. As the story unfolds, more beloved characters are unlocked and before you know it, you are able to freely explore South Park with Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Butters or Jimmy. Furthermore, the style of each character's combat mimics their behavior in both the story and show. Cartman has mostly fart-related abilities - including the power of lighting them on fire - while Butters fights with a hammer similar to Thor's, and can transition into his super villain alter-ego Professor Chaos for an ultimate attack. Kenny has some truly deranged abilities being a cross-dressing princess; like the ability to reveal his (male) chest and seduce enemies. There's much more to the insanity, but it's safe to say that every character is done justice. It's also very fulfilling just to be able to wander around South Park with one of your favourite characters accompanying you, as they periodically make jokes and seemingly always have something hilarious to say based on a variety of context-based instances.
