7. The Hugely Improved Combat

By far the most substantial improvement from its predecessor is the combat, which introduces a grid system for more nuanced and strategic battles.

Now players will need to think about their proximity to their enemies, who will often attack from two sides at once, and figure out which characters need to be where in order to execute the most devastating attack.

Though Ubisoft San Francisco certainly could've taken things even further, the leap from the original game's rudimentary combat is undeniable, and makes fighting decidedly more enjoyable and interesting.

One thing, though: would it kill Ubisoft to allow players to change the battle speed? Some of the fights in this game can drag on a bit, which can be especially infuriating if you fail them a few times.
