SOUTH PARK: THE GAME First Look Screenshots & Character Art

The upcoming game offshoot of Matt Stone and Trey Parker's cult cartoon, set for release in late 2012 gets a bunch of screenshots and character artwork.

2012 is set to be another epic one for gamers, with the promise of four potential new consoles (five if you count the next iPad, which we definitely should) and one title that will grab a good deal of fan attention in the second half of the year is South Park: The Game. It's a title that should have been made before now, and from what we have seen so far, it looks like it will be a winner. Developed in collaboration with South Park Digital Studios LLC, the joint venture between €œSouth Park€ creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker and Viacom Media Networks and Obsidian Entertainment, Inc., South Park: The Game will allow fans to play as their favourite characters in a brand new adventure, and the developers have today released the first look at the game with a collection of screenshots and character artwork, which you can see below.

Screenshots Character Artwork Here's what Danny Bilson, EVP Core Games, THQ had to say about the game on its announcement:
South Park: The Game is an epic role-playing adventure that will allow the user to befriend Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny and explore the quiet little mountain town like never before. Our goal is simple: to put creative talent first. Matt and Trey are arguably two of the most important comedic talents of their generation. Bringing their vision of South Park to the interactive space is a dream-come-true.
The game is currently scheduled for release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in the second half of 2012.
