8. Man Mountain Marko

Given the heavy 'organised crime' vibe that seems to have punctuated the tone of the game's narrative trailers thus far, Man Mountain Marko could fit neatly into proceedings. Having been aligned with all manner of crime families in the comics, Michael Marko often serves nicely as hired muscle to aid criminal masterminds.

It's hardly surprising to look at the guy, but his powers are his strength and size. The exact origins of these feats aren't always clear, but he's pretty much always been a physical match for Spider-Man in their encounters. Ultimately Peter Parker's brain often becomes his greatest ally in these bouts, and he eventually gets the better of Marko.

Without really being important enough to warrant backstory embedding, but being just recognisable enough to stand as a 'boss' of sorts, this would be an easy win for the game. Beating wave after wave of generic thugs can get tedious in games like this, so the odd brute will always help to break that monotony!
