2. Miles Morales Confirmed

Okay, I can't be the only one who let out a bit of an *eep* noise at this moment, right?
For those who don't know, the end of the demo featured a cameo from a beloved character in the Marvel Universe. The character just so happened to be Miles Morales, the successor to the Spidey mantle in the comics and an all around brilliant character to boot. Obviously we don't know his role in Insomniac's story, but he isn't the sort of character you reduce to a minor cameo. Given what we know about this universe, and that it will be featuring a somewhat more mature and aged Peter Parker than most other contemporary interpretations of the license, it could be the case that Miles is gearing up for a costumed appearance of his own, which would be brilliant to the say the very least.
If anything, however, Miles' brief cameo at the end of the trailer illustrates that we won't be revisiting the same old beats that have defined mainstream depictions of Spider-Man over the past decade. It's certainly encouraging, and reiterates that Insomniac are willing to do away with the old tenets of the license in order to tell the tale they want to.
