10. Turns Out Mister Negative Is The Main Enemy
Insomniac
A confirmation of earlier speculation, it looks as though Mister Negative is indeed the main villain of Insomniac's title. Created by Dan Slott and Phil Jimenez a little over a decade ago, Martin Li and his gang of 'Inner Demons' look as though they are relative newcomers to the New York crime-scene, as is confirmed by the fact that they're trying to oust Wilson Fisk from his Manhattan territories.
What this bodes for the overall narrative of Insomniac's project remains unclear, but the implications that it holds for the rest of the world are more than obvious. We now know, for instance, that Kingpin and Mister Negative will be engaged in a turf war throughout the title, and that Peter himself had known Martin Li prior to his negative makeover.
Regardless, it's great to see a Spidey title that's willing to experiment with its foes. Just keep an eye on those Osborne billboards for now - you never know if they could be pointing to something much bigger.
