Spider-Man takes on the Uni-Power and becomes a version of Captain Universe when he's involved in a lab accident (of course). At this time the Uni-Power does many things, one of the first of which is to cosmically alter the hero's costume to look like the usual Captain Universe style.

This power also greatly enhances Peter's spider-senses, as well as granting him better strength, speed and the ability to fly. Given that the game is going to be open world and players will have the chance to sling around the city throughout, a sudden change of pace with flight would be immense fun.

The addition of the Uni-Vision could also help players in spotting trouble from further away; coupling this with a greater level of criminal activity would help to balance the increased power with a sterner ongoing challenge.
